What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels, tags) do comparable jobs. In this notice, "cookies" covers all of them.
First-party cookies are set by romy.is. Third-party cookies are set by a service we use, such as an analytics provider.
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies are stored for a set period.
02
How we use cookies
We use cookies for three reasons:
To make the site work. Session cookies for the intake form and email-capture status.
To understand how the site is used. With your consent, we run Vercel Web Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, Google Analytics, and PostHog. PostHog also records sessions, captures interactions automatically, and runs occasional surveys. These set cookies and collect usage data so we can improve the site. None of them run until you accept analytics; if you reject, they stay off.
To remember your preferences. For example, your cookie consent choice.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for third-party marketing purposes.
03
Your choices
Strictly necessary cookies are set regardless, because the site can't run without them. Everything else runs only if you opt in.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
04
Third parties
Where a cookie is set by a third-party service we've embedded (for example an analytics provider), that third party may receive information about your visit. Their own privacy and cookie policies govern what they do with it.
05
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no industry-agreed standard for how sites should respond to it. We treat the absence of consent as the controlling signal; if you haven't opted in, we won't set non-essential cookies.
